How to fix a PS3 – The Yellow Light of Death Fix and Blinking Red Light Fix

While many people would think it would be easier to put the broken ps3 under their bed and never look at it again that would be wrong. That’s because fixing a ps3 is actually a light easier than one would think. Especially if the problem is the yellow light of death. The YLOD issue is actually a fairly common problem with Playstation 3 game consoles. Sony recommends sending the game console back to the company to be fixed, however, there are some steps you can take to address this problem yourself.

In fact, more and more game enthusiasts are turning to online guides to find quick methods for fixing their PS3 without all of the headaches. It’s important to understand what may be causing the yellow light of death problem or other PS3 problems. While it’s nearly impossible to know the exact cause, there are some things you can check that may fix the problem without spending any additional money.

These steps have been known to help with the yellow light of death fix for many PS3’s. However, keep in mind that if these steps do not work, there is still hope. First. unplug the power from the game console. Ideally, you should leave the system unplugged for at least 15 minutes. This will allow the electrically charge to be removed from the system and also allow the system to completely cool.

Once you have completed the above steps you can plugin in the game console and power it on. If you are still experiencing the same issues you still have other options.

You may wish to send your playstation 3 back to Sony to be repaired. Typically, this will take 4-6 weeks and cost about $200.00. While this may seem like the only option, there are others that allow you to further troubleshoot your PS3 yellow light problem yourself. This methods are usually much cheaper and take less than an hour to fix. Keep in mind that you don’t need to be a technical person to attempt these fixes.

They will probably survive, even long term, but they prefer very different water conditions, so it’s not idea.
